"Sometimes my job as an artist is to stare at the sky thinking for an hour. It is more difficult to do this in the city. Onlookers might think I lost my mind!
Like most artists, I am an introvert who utilizes solitude to germinate my creative ideas and solitude is in short supply in the urban environment. I’m inspired by rural farms and stifled by cubicle farms.
I am a photographer. I document the human experience. I’m a storyteller. My agricultural photographs seek to valorize the labor of our farm workers and dignify their toil. My landscapes seek to romanticize the great outdoors by capturing the beauty and awe of the countryside. Farmers nourish my body. Farmland feeds my soul".
